Who can use FlipFit

  • FlipFit is intended for users in Canada, launching first in Ottawa, Ontario.
  • Users under 13 may not create or control their own account; a parent or guardian must control any use involving a child under 13.
  • Users under 18 may use FlipFit only with parent or guardian awareness and oversight.

Marketplace role

  • FlipFit provides a platform for users to list, discover, message about, and arrange local resale transactions.
  • Unless stated otherwise, FlipFit is not the seller or buyer and does not own, inspect, authenticate, or guarantee items.
  • Users are responsible for checking item condition, authenticity, price, safety, and suitability before completing a transaction.

User responsibilities

  • Be honest about item condition, brand, size, price, and defects.
  • Do not post exact home addresses, school schedules, lockers, student IDs, phone numbers, or other sensitive details.
  • Do not post faces, school logos, uniforms, license plates, or identifying private backgrounds in listing photos.
  • Meet only in safe public places and involve a guardian or trusted adult for younger users.

Transactions and payments

The MVP is designed around user-arranged local transactions. Do not send deposits, gift cards, suspicious links, or off-platform payments to someone you do not trust. Future in-app payments will require separate terms and legal/payment-processor review.

Enforcement

FlipFit may warn, limit, suspend, or remove accounts/listings where needed for safety, legal, fraud, moderation, or policy reasons.
