Youth privacy

  • Users under 13 may not create or control their own account; parent/guardian control is required.
  • Users under 18 should use FlipFit with parent/guardian awareness and oversight.
  • Consent must be meaningful. If a young person cannot understand what information is collected, why, and the consequences, FlipFit may require guardian consent/control.

Information we may collect

  • Account information such as display name, email, age band, role, and guardian contact where needed.
  • Marketplace information such as listings, photos, saves, messages, reports, and transaction status.
  • Safety/moderation information such as reports, blocks, moderation notes, and fraud/spam signals.
  • Technical information such as device/browser type, logs, cookies, analytics, and approximate area.

Information users should not post

  • Exact home or school address, locker, class schedule, student ID, phone number, or private social handle.
  • Faces, school logos, uniforms, license plates, or identifying backgrounds.

How information is used

  • Operate accounts, listings, messages, reports, and safety tools.
  • Verify eligibility or guardian involvement where needed.
  • Prevent fraud, scams, spam, abuse, unsafe conduct, and illegal activity.
  • Send service, safety, and permitted marketing communications.

Sharing and review

FlipFit does not sell personal information. Marketplace messages may be reviewed by automated tools and/or humans where needed to detect scams, abuse, unsafe meetups, harassment, prohibited items, or policy violations.
